Our very first Bridal Party....

Eagle's Nest welcomed our first Bridal Party in November 2020. Bride, Heather, from Redbank Plains, chose Eagle's Nest as the perfect spot to prepare for her special day. The privacy, the spaciousness & having everyone together meant a relaxing, smooth preparation for her wedding. And Eagle's Nest proved to be the perfect private spot for Heather & Bowdan's wedding night. "We chose the Nest as it was close to everything, but once you're up there, you feel a million miles away".

Heather, daughter of locals Lisa & Brian, & Bowdan, son of Brett & Julie of Brisbane, were married on Saturday 28th November, 2020. The ceremony took place in Debbie Wilmot's beautiful garden at The Summit, & the reception was held at the Stanthorpe International Club. Guests attended from Stanthorpe, Brisbane, South Australia & Canberra. "The ceremony was supposed to be at 3pm" says Heather, "but we didn't get there till 4 thanks to a flat battery in the car!" Fortunately, the flat battery wasn't at the top of the hill!

Heather looked stunning in a Mia Solano's "TIA" design bridal dress, complimented by Groom, Bowdan's, choice of a navy blue vest & a black tuxedo jacket. Heather was attended by her cousin, Lily (Maid of Honour), her dress a navy blue. Best friends' son & daughter as ring boy & flower girl. Bowdan's nephew as second ring boy. Bowdan's brother Lachlan was Best Man. Say Cheese Photography & Video were the photographers of this special event.

As custodians, we were honoured that Heather & Bowdan chose Eagle's Nest for their pre & post wedding plans. What is most pleasing however, is that this wedding was supported by our local community; from Debbie's garden at The Summit, to the International Club which was also beautifully decorated by local, Tamara, as well as our fellow accommodation providers, & local food & wine.

Thank you Heather & Bowdan for choosing Stanthorpe as the venue for your special day. The video below is compiled by Eagle's Nest Management with permission from Heather & Bowdan. Enjoy.
